My version of the Notre Dame, I have simply used a black fine liner. This has gave me inspiration for different samples....
Here i have washed the paper with water and then quickly drew with a fine brush and ink. As it has hit the water it has spread easily and dried quite interestingly. I definitely think this is a technique to come back to!!

From the drawing above i have put the drawing onto magic touch then transferred it onto a off-white cotton, then used the free hand foot on the sewing machine and gone over the lines....

Mono-print..Very messy!! But has a nice effect. Again another version of the Notre Dame..
Below i have used the idea of squares, inspired by lace designs, to incorporate the Notre Dame. I think it has payed off, may play around with the idea of big squares against small. Another inspiration are 1950's artists like Jacqueline Groag, Terence Conran and Lucienne Day and their use of squares and block colours..
