Before i started my final length I did a few sample pieces to see how printed colours on sheer sat on printed colours on calico. The sheer im using is silk organza, such a beautiful quality of fabric, the idea is to have my printed fabrics sit on the sheer with the heavy texture behind it on the calico.
This worked very well as the definition between the florals and texture is more clear. And the coloured background makes the printed flowers on the sheer more prominent. These will be mounted as sample pieces ready for my 4m length.
